This streamlines the integration of privacy features into existing applications, making it easy to deploy confidential DeFi, payment, or token solutions—even without deep cryptographic expertise.

The primary distinction between Fully Homomorphic Encryption and Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZK) is that ZK only verifies knowledge of a secret, while FHE enables direct computation on encrypted data. For example, Zcash can conceal transaction amounts, but FHE makes it possible for the entire DeFi protocol—including collateralization, lending, and liquidation—to operate entirely within encrypted data, with nodes never exposed to the underlying computation.
