4 days ago, I commented under CZ's tweet announcing the listing of $BNB on Coinbase, saying “There are signs of a thaw in the China-US trade war.”
Early yesterday morning, @jessepollak demonstrated the application of the Base chain App using the coin $币安人生, and also tweeted in Chinese “开启币安人生模式”.
This series of actions is hard not to understand as Jesse sending friendly signals to Binance and CZ. Could it be that the two major crypto camps in the East and West are really going to shake hands and make peace?
Although we cannot simply define Binance as 'central', as users are spread globally, the Chinese crypto community indeed forms the basic foundation. On the other hand, the user base centered around Coinbase and Base comprises the crypto communities in Europe and America. For a long time, the competitive relationship between the two has not been very apparent.
After the Limitless incident, the attitudes of the two major camps have become more polarized: most opinions in the Chinese community believe that CJ's actions are inappropriate, while many people in the English community think that CJ did nothing wrong in exposing this, leading to further escalation of the situation.
Based on Jesse's previous series of targeted posts and the fact that CJ is a die-hard fan of Jesse, it's hard not to speculate that the Limitless matter is CB's camp using CJ to launch an attack. If placed on a larger world stage, doesn't it resemble the confrontation between China and the US?
At that time, I was already prepared for further fragmentation in the crypto world, where any hotspot could have two major mirror giants competing against each other, just like Chatgpt does with Deepseek.
The Solana ecosystem tokens have indeed been kept out by Binance listings. Will the Base ecosystem also follow the old path? Binance has previously listed quite a few Base ecosystem projects, such as $Virtuals.
When immortals fight, us mortals suffer. The further splitting and draining of liquidity is not a good thing. – This is the fundamental reason why I so despise CJ's methods. Do you think he is foolish? No, he is very adept at discerning the divine will and willingly acts as the vanguard to take down Binance.
See how he is licking Brian Armstrong's boots – “God Himself”.
Fortunately, Jesse did not let the confrontation deteriorate completely. On the night when CJ got into trouble, there were doubts that Coinbase had not even listed $BNB, questioning what right they had to criticize Binance. The next day, they immediately announced the launch of $BNB , which led to CZ's indirect call for them to list more BNB chain ecosystem projects.
However, using “Binance Life” to demonstrate the BASE APP is quite well done in terms of goodwill; the little foreigner is quite capable.
But it's a bit awkward for CJ – “Dad, didn't you say you were going to take down Binance? I've already offended people to death.”
So CJ sensed that the wind was blowing in the wrong direction and began to turn around and flatter Binance in various ways. This is also why I say he is a clown and “make me sick.” Even though I have quite a bit of allocation, I really find this kind of petty behavior very disgusting.
Imagine, when the United States is repeatedly jumping around the Philippines to create geopolitical friction, who do you dislike more, the United States or the Philippine clown?
The recent “easing of China-U.S. relations” in the crypto space seems to be making progress. When global liquidity is concentrated at a certain point, retail investors are likely to have the greatest opportunities. Think back to the first wave of DeFi Summer; let's wait and see.
