Bybit has stopped accepting new users in Japan since October 31.

The cryptocurrency exchange Bybit announced that it will stop accepting new users in Japan starting from October 31 in order to comply with regulatory guidelines from local authorities, aiming to enhance investor protection. According to the announcement, current users can continue to use the services as usual; however, Bybit stated that it may impose additional restrictions in the future. This move follows a warning from the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA) in 2021 and 2023 for operating without the appropriate license. Bybit's withdrawal from the Japanese market reflects the government's increasingly stringent oversight of international cryptocurrency platforms operating in the country.
