Arcium launches Mainnet Alpha, paving the way for the crypto capital market on Solana

Arcium officially launches Mainnet Alpha on Solana, transitioning its cryptographic computing network from the testing phase to a real-world infrastructure for early-stage applications.

The upgrade introduces a platform for privacy-preserving applications on public blockchains, with Umbra becoming the first protocol to operate directly on the network. The project aims to build encrypted capital markets, addressing data transparency barriers that often deter many financial institutions from participating in blockchain.

Arcium provides infrastructure for fully encrypted data computation, allowing applications to remain private while still being verifiable and composable on-chain. Use cases include secure DeFi, transactions, lending, and issuing assets under cryptographic security layers instead of exposing all data publicly.

Umbra has activated Private Mainnet, supporting anonymous transfers and encrypted swaps on Solana. The initial phase will limit to 100 new users per week with a $500 cap, before expanding in the near future.

Arcium previously raised a total of $9 million and is developed by the team behind the privacy protocol Elusiv. The ecosystem is expanding with many integrated projects, while the Confidential SPL standard for security tokens on Solana is also nearing completion.
