U.S. stocks' average daily trading volume in January surpasses $1 trillion, with record-breaking capital flows

ChainCatcher reports that, according to Jinjishi, the capital flow in the U.S. stock market has reached a new high, with the average daily stock trading volume in January surpassing $1 trillion, reaching a record $1.03 trillion, a roughly 50% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The daily number of shares traded is about 19 billion, the second-highest in history. Trading activity among retail investors and institutional funds has increased simultaneously, but amid concerns over high valuations, the continued influx of capital also poses higher risks for participants.
