BlockBeats News, February 19 — According to The Israel Times, the scale of U.S. aerial forces gathering in the Middle East is the largest since the Iraq War began in 2003. The start of the more than eight-year-long Iraq War was marked by the so-called “deterrence and intimidation” bombing campaign.
Now, the United States is amassing troops in the region as President Trump considers launching an attack on Iran. The U.S. has dispatched dozens of aircraft and multiple aircraft carriers to the area. These fighter jets include F-16, F-22, and F-35.
The U.S. military buildup enables the United States to carry out military operations in the region that last longer than the bombing campaign during the Iraq War in June of last year, when B-2 bombers targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities.
