On May 24, the Sui Ecosystem Exchange Conference, jointly organized by the Sui Foundation, Tencent Cloud, and Numen Cyber, successfully concluded in Hong Kong. The event attracted over 60 industry peers both online and offline.

The purpose of this event is to enhance the understanding of the Sui ecosystem within the Web3 industry and to build a communication platform for developers in the ecosystem, promoting collaboration between teams.

The event invited Sui Foundation technical ambassador uvd, Tencent Cloud international business department strategic director Fred Sun, and strategic manager David Chen, Tencent Trust Chain leader Leqing Wang, Numen Cyber chief security researcher Nolan Wang, Suiet co-founder Joy Choi, Somis founder Will Wyat, and Souffl3 ecosystem leader Bill as guest speakers.

First, UVD, the technical ambassador of the Sui Foundation, shared ‘Sui Move Composability.’ Move is a general-purpose, chain-independent smart contracts programming language originally developed by Facebook (now Meta), based on ownership types, and highly focused on simplicity, correctness, and analyzability. Sui Move innovates on the Object model based on Class Move. Its innovations primarily manifest in Consensus, storage mechanisms, unlimited horizontal scalability, and transaction programmability, with numerous innovations combined together in an unprecedented manner. We look forward to Sui Move’s characteristic sparking the next wave of innovation in Web3.

David Chen, Strategic Manager of Tencent Cloud’s International Business Department, and Leqing Wang, Head of Tencent Trust Chain, discussed the topic of “Tencent Cloud Introduction into Web3,” introducing Tencent Cloud’s layout in the Web3 field and its cooperation with SUI in the Web3 domain, looking forward to pushing Web3 to the next wave together with everyone.

Next, Nolan Wang, Chief Security Researcher at Numen Cyber, will share on the topic “The Security of Move”. He stated: “The design model of Move assets is closer to the asset models in real life, and many safeguards have been implemented at the Virtual Machine level to ensure the security of Move assets. Although the security factor has improved compared to other asset types, some security-related issues can still be found in the audits of funds in certain Move contracts. However, from a development perspective, Move has significantly reduced the potential security issues that developers could cause.” At the same time, Nolan is also very optimistic about the development prospects of the Move language.

Additionally, project leaders from the Sui ecosystem projects Suiet, Somis, Souffl3 shared their experiences in developing on Sui, providing attendees with firsthand insights into Sui development and engaging in rich discussions on-site.
