Gate News message: On April 9, the U.S., the U.K., and Canada carried out the joint enforcement action “Atlantic Action,” led by the U.K.’s National Crime Agency (NCA), which was completed in March this year. The operation froze more than $12 million in assets allegedly obtained through fraud, identified more than 20k victims, and involved a total fraud amount of over $45 million. The action focused on authorized phishing attacks, a type of scam that tricks users into signing malicious authorizations and thereby allows the attacker to transfer tokens from the victim’s wallet. A CEX participated in the enforcement action by providing account screening and fraud intelligence support, but no funds were frozen from its platform.
