Luck.io, Solana's Non-Custodial Casino, Shuts Down; Users Urged to Withdraw Funds Immediately

Gate News message, April 24 — Luck.io, a non-custodial casino platform built on Solana, announced its closure on April 24, 2026, urging all users to withdraw their balances from Smart Vaults immediately. Withdrawals can be initiated through the luck.io website or via the Vault Withdrawal Tool at proov.network/withdraw.html. No definitive shutdown date was disclosed, though the platform is expected to close as soon as possible.

Luck.io launched in 2025 as an account-less, custodian-free betting site using smart contracts for immediate on-chain settlement of all bets. The platform leveraged Proov Protocol to offer provably fair slots and required no KYC, allowing players to log in with their wallets and begin betting instantly. According to reports, Luck.io processed over $65 million in bets within just one month of operation.

However, the platform faced mounting controversy starting in June 2025 when crypto influencer Cobie revealed that Luck.io was paying top accounts up to $500,000 per month for promotion. This disclosure sparked criticism over the platform’s “provably fair” claims, as the random number generator relied on an off-chain VRF rather than on-chain verification. Concerns emerged regarding multisig management and potential outcome manipulation. Former Google machine learning researcher Foobar publicly criticized the algorithm design, arguing the system did not constitute a genuine on-chain VRF. Luck.io defended itself as a victim of “coordinated attacks from competitors,” offered a multi-million-dollar bug bounty, and stressed on-chain verification of wagers, seeds, and payouts. Trustpilot ratings fell to 2.3 out of 5, with users complaining of unfair losing streaks after winning periods, shadow banning, and deposit rate-limiting.

The platform’s ties to Rollbit, a once-dominant crypto casino that faced similar fairness allegations, further fueled community skepticism. Among the shutdown announcement comments, many players expressed frustration over unfinished rakeback rewards and incomplete bonus wagers. Competitors including YEET immediately offered transfer incentives and VIP packages to attract departing players. Luck.io assured users that funds could be withdrawn via Proov contracts even if the website goes offline, and provided guides for local tool usage.
