Gate News Report, March 9 — UK Conservative leader Nigel Farage has invested in London-listed Bitcoin company Stack BTC. Farage acquired 43 million shares at 5 pence per share through his company Thorn In The Side Ltd, giving him a 6.31% stake in Stack BTC, valued at £3.4 million. This £260,000 funding round also attracted crypto company Blockchain.com as a strategic investor. Stack BTC is chaired by former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng and plans to build a UK corporate investment portfolio while holding Bitcoin reserves. Blockchain.com, which registered as an FCA-licensed crypto asset business earlier this year, will collaborate with Stack to develop Bitcoin reserve strategies. Farage stated that he has long been one of the few UK political advocates supporting Bitcoin and believes London should become a major global cryptocurrency hub.
