U.S. Energy Secretary claims U.S. military escorts oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, deleted the post a few minutes later

Gate News reports that on March 10th, a U.S. Navy source stated that the U.S. Navy has not escorted any oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. Previously, U.S. Energy Secretary Rick posted on X platform claiming that naval forces had escorted an oil tanker through this tense waterway, but the post was later deleted. In the post, Rick wrote, “The U.S. Navy successfully escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring the continued flow of oil to global markets,” but did not provide further details. The message was deleted a few minutes after posting. Last week, Trump first proposed the idea of naval escort, and on Monday, he expressed hope that such escort would not be necessary. Additionally, an IRGC spokesperson responded, “Any actions by the U.S. fleet and its allies will be blocked within our missile and drone range. During wartime, no U.S. ship dares to approach the Gulf of Oman, the Persian Gulf, or the Strait of Hormuz.”
