So I talked about Hyperliquid's priority fees, but this problem isn't new.
Trading has always been a speed game.
The faster you are, the more money you make.
This has been true in stock markets for decades.
Back in 2010, trading firms paid 100 times more for a new fiber optic line just to stay competitive, not to make more money, just to not fall behind. And they knew microwave networks would make it obsolete within years.
They paid anyway.
One firm actually went under in Europe because they didn't build a microwave network fast enough.
That's how brutal the speed game gets.

Blue-chip L1s from the 2021 cycle got absolutely obliterated ↓
> Canto: $200M → $3.5M
> Aurora: $2.6B → $3M
> Moonriver: $407M → $1.7M
> Harmony: $1.2B → $290K
95% L1s launched in 2024/2025 will have the same fate.

Prediction market open interest just hit $1B for the first time since Nov 2024.
Four events are driving it simultaneously:
• Masters Golf Tournament
• NBA Playoffs (sports notional volume is ~$4B on all PMs)
• U.S.-Iran geopolitical events
• 2026 Midterms (open positions that won't resolve until November)
Most of these markets take time to resolve, so capital gets locked in open positions for longer.
The playoffs run 6-7 weeks.
Midterms don't close until November.
Geopolitical markets stay open until tensions get resolved.
That's why OI keeps compounding.

Very weird decision from Tether Wallet to support just these 4 chains.
Meanwhile, there are:
$84B USDT on Tron
$7.5B on Solana
$8.8B on BSC
$640M on Aptos
At a time when every project is pushing abstraction and seamless UX, the biggest stablecoin issuer is fragmenting liquidity.

Hyperliquid recently introduced priority fees on Hypercore (testnet for now, mainnet soon).
Here's the tl;dr ↓
Right now, onchain trading is an infra game. The fastest server wins, not the best strategy. MMs spend on colocation, private RPCs, and custom engineering just to be a few ms faster.
Priority fees let you pay HYPE for execution priority instead. The HYPE gets burned, not pocketed by some infra provider.
Two things worth noting:
• Cancels always go before executions regardless of priority paid, so MMs can pull stale quotes during fast moves without getting picked off.
• Everyone uses t

Hot take:
For founders, it's CRITICAL to grow on X.
But 90% of emerging founders I know waste time on the wrong people.
10 things I’d do if I had to start from 0 as a founder ↓
1. Ignore accounts with 20K+ followers
2. Build a list of 20 reachable people
3. Reply to them daily
4. Quote their posts instead of writing your own
5. DM anyone who notices you
6. Track who responds and who doesn’t
7. Drop people who ignore you
8. Double down on people who engage
9. Reuse content that works
10. Stay consistent for 14 days
Early growth on X isn’t about content.
It’s about attention loops & building a n
