Jin10 reported on October 20 that the Israel Defense Forces stated on the local time of the 20th that earlier that day, while executing a mission in the Shujaiya area in eastern Gaza City, several Palestinian armed personnel were found crossing the “yellow line” approaching Israeli soldiers. The Israeli army immediately opened fire on the armed personnel who crossed the line. Shortly after, the Israeli army again discovered multiple armed personnel crossing the “yellow line” and approaching local Israeli soldiers, posing a direct threat once again. The Israeli army opened fire on these line-crossers again. The Israeli army stated that the forces led by the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the ceasefire protocol and will continue to take action to “eliminate any immediate threat.”
