Odaily Planet Daily reports that JPMorgan analysts’ data shows that, as of 2025, retail investors have invested $197 billion in the US stock market, a 53% increase compared to the same period last year, and 14% higher than the peak of $270 billion during the retail trading frenzy in 2021. Meanwhile, another JPMorgan trading data indicates that retail trading volume accounted for 20% to 25% of total trading volume this year, reaching a historical high of approximately 35% in April. Analysts stated that with retail funds flowing into the US stock market expected to set a record in 2025, individual investors have become the main driving force behind the stock market rally; supported by expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts, this upward trend may continue into next year.
