Admit Mistakes and Correct Them - Crypto Web3 Cryptocurrency Exchange
This early morning, while I was at work, my supervisor came to the company,
asked about our listing status,
I told him my colleagues can list,
but I always fail to list successfully.
Then the supervisor opened his own computer to try,
found that listing was very smooth,
came over to see how I was listing,
I opened the cross-border e-commerce platform,
followed the process my colleague taught me step by step,
but in the end, the listing still failed.
But the supervisor saw through it,
said it was a problem with the images,
one image cannot be used twice,
it’s best to take new photos,
and find different backgrounds for shooting.
My first reaction was not agreement,
but to want to rebut,
but just as the thought arose,
I immediately sensed it,
and paid no attention,
directly got up to take a set of product photos,
repeated the process,
this time, it succeeded.
Seeing that I succeeded,
the supervisor went to teach the new colleague opposite me,
and I found his reaction was the same as mine,
also first rebutted,
it’s just that I was aware of it,
he did it subconsciously.
After work,
lying on my bed, I pondered this matter,
the supervisor helped me find the problem,
pointed out my shortcomings,
that’s a good thing,
after all, my income here depends on commissions,
if I can’t list successfully,
it means the products can’t be sold,
then there’s no talk of commissions.
I should not only not rebut,
but actively seek advice,
actively learn,
humble myself to other colleagues,
see how they list,
why they can be top sellers,
rather than just maintaining my so-called face here.
Making mistakes is not scary,
what’s scary is making mistakes and not correcting them, and not admitting them,
even scarier is admitting mistakes but refusing to change.
Ancient people already said,
"Not everyone is a sage,
who can be without faults;"
"Admitting mistakes and correcting them,
is the greatest virtue."
From any perspective,
this matter is my fault,
I must dare to admit it,
even from a purely profit standpoint,
learning better listing and selling methods,
wouldn’t I earn more money,
which benefits the company,
and also benefits myself?
I don’t know if this subconscious rebuttal is human nature,
but from my own perspective,
it’s essentially inferiority,
perfectionism,
afraid to admit mistakes and be judged by others.
But this is just self-illusion,
looking at it from another angle,
if I were the supervisor,
and I saw an employee’s improper operation,
causing waste of company resources,
and no orders being placed,
I would point out his problem,
and tell him the correct method.
This employee would respectfully listen to my guidance,
immediately correct himself,
and humbly ask me about other issues,
if it were you,
what would you think of him? Anyway, I think this young man is good,
suitable for cultivation.
But if I hadn’t finished speaking and this employee interrupted,
saying it wasn’t his fault,
it was the company’s fault,
the platform’s fault,
then I might think he’s hopeless,
can’t place orders,
not benefiting the company,
and I could only suggest he find another job.
People are born as a blank sheet,
eating,
drinking,
walking,
talking,
riding a bicycle… all learned little by little,
tried and tested,
not born knowing.
Life is like crossing a river,
just stepping forward cautiously,
if you make a mistake, come back,
if you’re right, move on,
making a mistake isn’t a big deal,
just admit it openly,
then fix it,
isn’t that a step further?
