Gate has officially launched its Stock Transfer-In and Stock Transfer-Out services, enabling cross-broker transfers for U.S. and Hong Kong-listed equities while further strengthening its global equities trading ecosystem. Users can now transfer eligible stock holdings from external brokerages into Gate or move positions held in their Gate stock accounts to other brokers, providing greater flexibility and efficiency in managing and allocating equity assets.
The newly launched transfer service by Gate this time does not charge fees for stock transfer in or out. Service uses the Free of Payment (FOP) transfer method. U.S. stock transfers are processed through the Depository Trust Company (DTC) system, while Hong Kong stock transfers are handled through the Central Clearing and Settlement System (CCASS). The transfer process typically takes between 3 and 15 business days, with the actual completion time depending on the processing efficiency of both brokerages and market settlement procedures.
To use the service, users can access the "More" section in the Gate App and select "Transfer In Stocks" or "Transfer Out Stocks" under "Common Features". After choosing either the U.S. or Hong Kong stock market, users can submit a transfer request by providing the required brokerage information, stock ticker, share quantity, and other relevant details. For stock transfers into Gate, users must first contact their existing brokerage to initiate the outbound transfer. For transfers out of Gate, users are required to accurately provide the receiving brokerage's information. The platform also offers a transfer history feature that allows users to monitor the status of their requests in real time, including Pending, Completed, and Cancelled. The feature is currently being rolled out gradually to users. Please stay tuned for future app updates.
To further reduce the costs for users transferring assets across brokerages, Gate has launched a limited-time "Stock Transfer-In Rewards" campaign. During the campaign period from July 1, 2026, to July 7, 2026, users who register and successfully submit a transfer request for the U.S. or Hong Kong stocks, with a successful transfer value of 3,000 USDT or more, can apply for a fee subsidy by providing a valid transfer fee voucher from their original brokerage. Participants will also enjoy an immediate VIP level upgrade. The transfer fee subsidy rewards include up to 15,000 USDT for U.S. stock transfers, up to 6,000 USDT for Hong Kong stock transfers, and VIP upgrades up to VIP 9. The subsidy amount is determined based on the actual transfer fees incurred and the corresponding tier criteria. The launch of the stock transfer service represents another milestone in Gate's continued expansion of its global equities offering toward a comprehensive asset management platform.
