28 of 29 Economists Expect RBNZ to Hold OCR at 2.25% on May 27, Year-End Forecast Rises to 2.75%

According to a Reuters survey, 28 of 29 economists expect the Reserve Bank of New Zealand to hold the official cash rate (OCR) at 2.25% on May 27. For year-end, the median OCR forecast among economists has risen to 2.75%, up from 2.50% in April's survey. Additionally, 14 of 27 economists forecast the RBNZ will raise the OCR to 2.50% or higher by the end of the third quarter.
