51% of American Crypto Wallet Users Rely More on Digital Assets Than Banks for Daily Tasks, Oobit Survey Shows

According to an Oobit survey of 1,002 U.S. respondents released recently, 51% of American cryptocurrency wallet users now rely more on digital assets than traditional banks for at least one everyday financial task. Privacy ranked as the primary reason Americans adopted crypto, cited by 28% of users overall and 31% of men specifically, outweighing factors like lower fees and faster processing. The survey also found that 46% of crypto wallet users prefer digital assets for cross-border transactions due to near-instant settlement and lower costs, while 55% of respondents remain hesitant to use crypto for high-stakes financial needs due to concerns about irreversible loss of access.
