According to 7-Eleven Holdings, Suzuki Toshifumi, the former chairman and CEO of the company, passed away on May 18 due to heart failure at age 93. Known as Japan's 'Retail God,' Suzuki led 7-Eleven's expansion into Japan in the 1970s and orchestrated a landmark reverse acquisition that established the company as a global retail powerhouse. The funeral was held privately with family members only, as per the family's wishes.
