According to Kyodo News, 82 local assemblies in Japan have submitted opinion papers to the central government or Parliament since the Takaichi Sanae administration took office in October 2025, requesting that the government either maintain or enact into law the 'three non-nuclear principles.' The latest submission was made on July 14.
