A certain CEX has launched a QR-code payment feature, supporting USDT for offline transactions

GateNews

It is understood that a leading CEX launched a QR-code payment feature on May 6. Users can scan a QR code through the exchange’s app to directly use USDT to pay for offline merchants. The feature has currently been rolled out in parts of Southeast Asia and Latin America, where QR-code payments are widely adopted. Users can set a payment password; after scanning the merchant’s QR code, they can complete the transaction. USDT will be automatically converted and settled in the background, with no need for manual withdrawals or bank transfers.
