Akamai Nears $250M Deal to Acquire Israeli Browser Security Startup LayerX

According to Calcalist, Akamai Technologies is in advanced talks to acquire Israel-based LayerX Security for approximately $250 million. Founded in 2022, LayerX develops browser security software for enterprises and has raised $45 million from investors including Jump Capital and Dell Technologies Capital. The startup employs over 80 people and was founded by CEO Or Eshed and CTO David Weisbrot.
