According to sources cited by Jinshi, Alibaba is set to integrate its Qwen AI platform with Taobao e-commerce service to enable shopping through conversational AI rather than keyword searches. The integration will allow consumers to browse, compare, and purchase items through dialogue with an AI assistant in the Qwen app, with access to Taobao and Tmall’s catalog of over 4 billion products. The service will provide shopping recommendations based on user order history and preferences, supported by a skill library managing logistics and after-sales services. Additionally, Alibaba will launch an AI shopping assistant powered by Qwen within Taobao, featuring virtual try-on and 30-day price tracking tools.
