Alpaca and Broadridge Integrate Proxy Voting Into Tokenized Stocks Platform

Alpaca has partnered with Broadridge Financial Solutions to add proxy voting and shareholder governance capabilities to its tokenized stock platform. The integration enables retail and institutional investors to exercise voting rights, receive regulatory disclosures and participate in corporate actions through tokenized equities, addressing a major gap in current blockchain-based securities infrastructure. Broadridge's governance layer covers proxy voting, investor communications and voting entitlement reconciliation across multiple blockchain networks and intermediaries. The combined platform supports both beneficial and registered shareholders through Broadridge's existing governance systems and ProxyVote platform, which currently serves over 200 million investor accounts globally. Alpaca CEO Yoshi Yokokawa stated: "Tokenization has the potential to expand access to global capital markets, but it must preserve the investor protections that market participants already expect."
