According to Stocktwits, Alphabet kicked off Big Tech's second-quarter earnings on Wednesday, with investor focus shifting from cloud growth to capital expenditure trends. The retail sentiment for GOOGL turned 'extremely bullish' ahead of the earnings report.

The four major tech giants—Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta—have earmarked a combined $710 billion in capital expenditure for 2026, with $129.8 billion already spent in the first quarter, representing an 81% increase year-over-year. Google Cloud reported record sales growth of 63% in the first quarter. Analysts project Alphabet's second-quarter revenue will rise over 21% to $117 billion.
