Altman Mocks Anthropic's Claude Ad on X: 'Thought This Was Satire'

According to posts on X, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman criticized Anthropic's new Claude advertisement on Monday, saying he thought it was satire. Responding to the ad titled "There's Hope in Hard Questions," Altman wrote: "i thought this was satire, kept looking for the handle to be spelled c1audeai or something."

On Friday, Apple sued OpenAI in California, alleging that OpenAI encouraged Apple employees to share information, components, and drawings related to upcoming products as part of efforts to develop its own device suite. The lawsuit named Tang Tan, a 25-year Apple veteran who joined OpenAI as chief hardware officer last year, as a defendant. Altman responded by saying he is "not afraid of Apple" following the lawsuit.
