Ankr, a Web3 infrastructure provider, has partnered with Kite, a Layer-1 blockchain focused on independent AI agents, to launch dedicated RPC services for the Kite Chain ecosystem. According to the announcement posted May 7, 2026, the collaboration aims to provide low-latency blockchain infrastructure supporting AI-led payment systems, decentralized finance platforms, and autonomous digital interactions.

As part of the initiative, Ankr will deliver the RPC layer required to facilitate seamless communication between applications and the Kite blockchain network, enabling scalable, low-latency infrastructure for AI-powered decentralized applications and autonomous payment systems.

Strengthening the Emerging Agentic Economy

The integration is designed to support the agentic economy, where AI agents independently authenticate, interact, and conduct transactions on-chain without constant human intervention. Developers building AI-native Web3 applications will gain access to faster connectivity, simplified infrastructure management, and more reliable blockchain performance through the collaboration.

Kite Chain was previously operating under the name Zettablock and has secured cumulative funding totaling $33 million, including an $18 million Series A round. The project's core framework revolves around Kite Agent Identity Resolution (AIR), which enables AI agents to verify their identities, operate autonomously, and execute transactions in digital environments. The AIR system allows AI participants to function as independent actors within decentralized ecosystems by integrating identity verification directly into the blockchain structure.

Kite Chain's AI-Focused Blockchain Architecture

Kite Chain features an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain architecture powered by a Proof of Artificial Intelligence consensus mechanism. This design allows developers to deploy smart contracts and decentralized applications while maintaining compatibility with existing Ethereum-based tools and environments.

The blockchain network has been optimized for high-speed AI transactions, offering one-second block times alongside transaction fees below $0.000001. These capabilities are designed to support AI-driven micropayments, machine-to-machine commerce, and automated decentralized financial activity. The infrastructure has been structured to support continuous automated operations as AI agents handle financial tasks, decentralized trading activities, and autonomous commerce at scale.

Simplifying Developer Access to Blockchain Connectivity

Ankr described the partnership as a significant step toward simplifying developer access to blockchain infrastructure. Through geo-distributed Kite RPC endpoints, developers will be able to interact with the network without deploying or maintaining independent blockchain nodes.

The RPC connections enable applications to send transactions, retrieve on-chain data, and access identity-related records connected to AI agents operating within the ecosystem. This streamlined connectivity is expected to reduce operational complexity for developers while accelerating the deployment of AI-powered decentralized applications. The collaboration seeks to accelerate innovation in AI-led DeFi, autonomous commerce, and machine-to-machine payments by simplifying blockchain connectivity for developers.
