Anthropic Code With Claude Developer Conference 5/6 Opens in San Francisco: Free Live Registration

Anthropic announced on May 1 that the first developer conference “Code with Claude” will open in San Francisco on May 6, and will expand for the first time into a three-city tour covering London (5/19) and Tokyo (6/10). For the on-site main sessions in all three cities, local seats are allocated by lottery and have already been fully drawn, but live-stream registration remains open to everyone. To address the on-site demand overload, the San Francisco event will add an extra 5/7 “Extended” session, designed specifically for independent developers and founders in the early stages.

Three-city tour: 5/6 San Francisco, 5/19 London, 6/10 Tokyo

Code with Claude is a developer conference hosted by Anthropic, and the San Francisco flagship event is the second time it has been held. All three sessions share the same program: full-day on-site workshops, demos of the latest features, and 1-on-1 office hours with Claude across each product-line team. The speaker roster includes Anthropic engineers, as well as startup/enterprise developers who are building with Claude.

The expansion to London and Tokyo marks the first time Code with Claude has crossed continents since its first event in San Francisco, meaning Anthropic will bring the European and Asian developer communities into a single communication channel. Extended technical agendas are expected to be released gradually during the event week.

Live-stream registration is free, and on-site seats are fully booked by lottery

On-site seats in all three cities use a lottery system; applications have closed, and selected participants were notified by Email in early April. But those who were not selected or cannot attend can still register for the San Francisco live stream, and complete session recordings will be provided after the event. The live stream is free and does not require an Anthropic account—making it the most convenient channel to keep an eye on the latest announcements and feature updates across Claude’s product lines.

5/7 “Extended” session: for independent developers and early-stage founders

Due to San Francisco on-site registration being overloaded—many independent developers and early-stage founders were unable to secure a spot—Anthropic added a May 7 “Code with Claude: Extended” session. This event is designed for individual developers and small teams, with an agenda focused on practical Claude Code use cases, agentic workflows, and best practices for integrating Claude into small engineering teams—distinct from the enterprise-focused agenda of the 5/6 flagship. The next point to watch is whether Anthropic will announce major updates to the new version of Claude or Claude Code during the conference; this would be Claude’s first major public technical event since Opus 4.7.
