Avalanche Launches Payments Collective Spanning 150+ Countries, 96 Currencies on June 19

According to Avalanche, on June 19 the blockchain platform launched the Avalanche Payments Collective, bringing together financial institutions and infrastructure developers to build blockchain-based payment systems. Founding participants include Franklin Templeton, VanEck, Paxos, Kraken, Anchorage Digital, Tassat, and others.

Participating organizations collectively support payment activity across more than 150 countries, 96 currencies, and billions of payout endpoints through bank accounts, cards, and mobile wallets. Axiym's cross-border payment infrastructure has processed over $1.4 billion in transaction volume, while Franklin Templeton's tokenized money market fund and Rain's stablecoin payment solutions connected to Visa's merchant network are already operating on the network.
