According to Bank of Communications' official statement, the bank will close its precious metals agency business for individuals on the Shanghai Gold Exchange effective July 24, 2026, at market close. The affected contract types include Au99.99, Au100g, Au99.95, PGC30g, Au(T+D), mAu(T+D), and Ag(T+D). Clients with existing positions and inventory will be unable to close positions, sell holdings, or withdraw physical metals through mobile banking and online banking channels after the cutoff date.
