Barclays: Japan's Nikkei 225 May Offer Best AI Value With Lower Concentration Than South Korea, Taiwan

According to Barclays strategist Ajay Rajadhyaksha, Japan's stock market may offer better AI investment value than South Korea and Taiwan this year. While the Nikkei 225 has climbed about 32%, it provides exposure to multiple segments of the AI supply chain with lower index concentration—the top 10 stocks account for about 45% compared to over 50% in South Korea's Kospi and roughly 40% in Taiwan's Taiex. Japanese companies including Advantest and Tokyo Electron occupy critical positions throughout the semiconductor value chain, from fabrication equipment to NAND flash memory production, Barclays said.
