Berkshire Hathaway and ARK Invest Simultaneously Invest in Alphabet; Stock Rallies 3.72% on June 4

According to ARK Invest trading data and Berkshire Hathaway's investment disclosure, both firms invested heavily in Alphabet this week. Berkshire, led by CEO Greg Abel, acquired $10 billion in Alphabet common shares via private placement on June 1 at approximately 6% discount. ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) purchased 97,420 shares of Alphabet Class A stock and 97,420 shares of Class C stock on June 3, bringing its total Alphabet position to over $162 million, representing 2.33% of the fund's portfolio. Multiple ARK funds including ARKQ, ARK Next Generation Internet ETF, and ARKX also increased their Alphabet holdings simultaneously. After declining 4.6% from June 1-3, Alphabet's stock price surged 3.72% on June 4 to close at $372.33 per share.
