Gate News message, April 21 — Bitcoin Core officially announced the release of Bitcoin Core v31.0, bringing multiple underlying updates and improvements. The GUI framework has been upgraded to Qt 6.8, and the default database cache for systems with more than 4GB of memory has increased from 450 MiB to 1024 MiB.

The new version introduces support for the -privatebroadcast option to enable private broadcast behavior. To prevent fee rate calculation errors, the -paytxfee startup option for setting static transaction fees has been completely removed; users will now rely on automatic fee estimation or specify per-transaction fees.

Additionally, Bitcoin Core v31.0 implements new privacy and security filters for wallet recovery and migration commands.
