Bitcoin Miners Post Losses With $76K Production Cost vs $65K BTC Price, Selling Pressure Rises

BTC-0.03%
According to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost, Bitcoin miners are operating at a loss, with production costs at approximately $76,000 while BTC trades around $65,000. The miner hashrate has declined roughly 28% since late October last year, accompanied by a 20% difficulty adjustment, forcing most miners to sell coins at a loss. Darkfost noted that Binance miner inflows have increased notably following Bitcoin's recent price recovery, reflecting sustained selling pressure from unprofitable mining operations.
