Bithumb Bitcoin Refund Lawsuit Verdict Scheduled for August 27, 194 Million Won at Stake

According to Seoul Central District Court, the first ruling in Bithumb's refund lawsuit stemming from a February bitcoin (BTC) overpayment incident is scheduled for August 27 at 2 p.m. The case involves users who received and sold 620,000 BTC mistakenly distributed as event rewards; this particular lawsuit targets users retaining proceeds in cash, with disputed unjust enrichment valued at approximately 194 million won. Four separate lawsuits were filed in March against different users; this is the second largest claim among them. Bithumb has recovered 99% of unredeemed bitcoin by March 10.
