Bittensor Upgrades Push TAO Above $220; Technical Indicators Show Weakening Selling Pressure

TAO0.80%

Bittensor [TAO] is at a key technical crossover as selling momentum fades, with TAO trading around $198.3 at press time after retreating from its late June peak near $292.2. A falling wedge pattern has formed, with RSI rebounding to 45.23 and MACD histogram turning positive despite light trading volume, suggesting sellers are losing conviction. The $244.7 resistance level remains critical; a breakout above it could expose the $292.2 level, while a break below the $182.5 support would shift bias back toward the February low near $150.

Bittensor's latest upgrades strengthen the network's economic fundamentals. A new conviction mechanism rewards users who lock TAO for longer periods and allows challengers to replace inactive subnet owners after one year, forcing operators to maintain continuous participation. Spec 437 also reduces miners' upfront costs by locking registration fees rather than burning them entirely, encouraging ongoing engagement while deterring spam. Together, these upgrades may drive sufficient network demand to break through the $205–$220 resistance zone.
