According to Wood Mackenzie, Brent crude oil faces the risk of surging to $200 per barrel in a worst-case scenario of prolonged disruption at the Strait of Hormuz. The energy consultancy noted that over 11 million barrels per day of crude oil and condensate supply in the Persian Gulf region are already halted.
