California Duo Indicted for Darknet Drug Sales and Crypto Laundering of Hundreds of Thousands

According to a Wednesday statement from the Department of Justice, Nicholas Aguilar and Jessica Marcolina have been indicted on charges of darknet drug trafficking and money laundering. Prosecutors allege the pair operated vendor accounts under the name "HotGirlzClub" across multiple darknet marketplaces, shipping over 500 drug parcels nationwide over a 7-month period in 2025, with proceeds tied to fentanyl and methamphetamine sales. Authorities claim they laundered hundreds of thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency to conceal the source of funds. A search of their California residence allegedly uncovered drug packaging materials, narcotics residue, firearms, and illicit gun manufacturing equipment. If convicted, each defendant faces up to life in prison on drug trafficking charges and up to 20 years on money laundering charges.
