According to Beating, OpenAI today integrated its Codex code agent tool into ChatGPT’s mobile app, enabling users to remotely monitor and direct Codex tasks running on desktop or cloud servers. The company disclosed that Codex has reached 4 million weekly active users. The mobile interface provides real-time visibility into terminal output, screenshots, test results, and code diffs from remote machines, allowing developers to make decisions and approve actions during fragmented time slots. A secure relay layer keeps development devices off the public internet while maintaining state sync, and enterprise features including remote SSH access and custom Hooks for sensitive data filtering are now available, alongside HIPAA compliance support for on-premises deployments.
