According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun, China-Africa bilateral trade surged to over 800 billion yuan in the first four months of 2026, marking the first time this period has exceeded the 800-billion-yuan threshold. African specialty products have entered the Chinese consumer market, while Chinese quality goods are supporting Africa’s development and infrastructure projects.
Guo noted that under the China-Africa Cooperation Forum and the Belt and Road Initiative framework, comprehensive China-Africa cooperation is developing robustly, facilitating industrialization and agricultural modernization across African nations and delivering tangible benefits to African people.
