China and Australia Convene 18th Economic Committee Meeting on May 21

According to Jin10, China and Australia held the 18th ministerial-level economic joint committee meeting on May 21 in Suzhou, co-chaired by Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and Australian Trade and Tourism Minister Farrell. The two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral economic and trade relations and strengthening cooperation in regional and multilateral fields. Farrell stated that Australia highly values bilateral economic ties and is willing to advance the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement review and deepen cooperation in traditional and emerging sectors. Australia welcomes China's role as APEC host in 2026 and committed to maintaining communication on regional and multilateral economic issues.
