China Hog and Pork Prices Fall 0.4% in Week of May 18-24

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, national live hog prices declined to 10.12 yuan per kilogram (down 0.4% week-over-week) during the week of May 18-24. Pork collective market prices fell to 19.98 yuan per kilogram, also down 0.4% sequentially. Wholesale pork prices averaged 14.76 yuan per kilogram across 200 monitored markets, down 0.5% week-over-week and 28.5% year-over-year.
