China Meteorological Administration issued an orange-level heavy rain alert on May 25, 18:00 UTC+8, forecasting large to heavy rain across multiple regions from May 25, 20:00 to May 26, 20:00. Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Chongqing are among the most affected areas, with some regions expecting heavy downpours of 100-200mm. Short-duration extreme rainfall may reach 30-50mm per hour, with localized peaks exceeding 80mm. The alert also warns of potential thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail in affected areas.
