China Reiterates One-China Principle to Germany Following May Lawmakers' Taiwan Visit

According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, following visits by German lawmakers to Taiwan in May, Beijing urged Berlin to adhere to the one-China principle and refrain from interfering in China's internal affairs. Mao stated that the one-China principle is a fundamental basis for China-Germany relations and an international consensus. "Crossing the red line on Taiwan will have consequences," Mao added during a regular press briefing.
