According to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, on May 22, China's export container shipping index rose 3.6% to 2218.15 points, driven by continued gains in deep-sea route rates. The Persian Gulf route rose 4.2% to $4,306 per TEU, as Middle East geopolitical tensions remained stable.
