According to Guru Club, on July 20, China's four authorities - the market regulator, commerce ministry, tax authority, and public security - issued guidance for comprehensive management of fuel pump fraud. The authorities will formulate case-handling guidelines for fraud-related offenses and coordinate with prosecutors and courts to address legal application issues in prosecuting such crimes. Public security departments will increase criminal penalties and form a stronger deterrent against fuel pump fraud, while other agencies will strengthen industry management through revised regulations on oil measurement, petroleum retail supervision, and tax collection procedures.
