China's Ministry of Commerce Plans AI+ Consumer Policy Framework, to Support 110,000 Gas Stations on May 18

Deputy Minister Sheng Qiuping announced on May 18 that China’s Ministry of Commerce is preparing to introduce a comprehensive “AI+ Consumer” policy framework aligned with recent AI terminal intelligence standards. The ministry will support the transformation of approximately 110,000 gas stations nationwide as part of energy transition efforts, while promoting smart home consumption through customized service packages in urban renewal projects.

The Commerce Ministry will also expand imports of premium consumer goods, international luxury brands, and domestic trending products to further drive consumption growth.
