According to CCTV Finance on May 18, Chinese aluminum processing enterprises are experiencing a surge in orders and launching new rounds of capacity expansion. Aluminum processors in Sichuan and elsewhere reported robust demand for aluminum sheets, strips, foils, and wire products, with production lines operating at full capacity. One manufacturer producing battery foil and food-grade double-zero foil has all 13 casting and rolling lines running at full utilization, with daily output shipped immediately.

Data shows China’s unwrought aluminum and aluminum products exports reached 2.053 million tons in January-April 2026, up 8.9% year-over-year, as domestic producers absorb orders shifted from overseas amid global supply tightness.
