Chinese Businessman Kidnapped in Cambodia, Killed After $2M Cryptocurrency Ransom Demand Rejected

According to KohsantepheapDaily, 53-year-old Chinese real estate businessman Yang Weixin was kidnapped in Phnom Penh on May 29. Criminals demanded $2 million in cryptocurrency from his wife via his phone on May 30 morning. After failing to receive the ransom, the abductors killed him and abandoned his body in a vehicle. Police confirmed the case as kidnapping and extortion resulting in death and are investigating further.
