According to on-chain detective ZachXBT, Circle blacklisted Zama's Confidential USDC (cUSDC) contract on Ethereum approximately 7 hours ago today (May 31), freezing roughly $12.6 million USDC held in the contract. The cUSDC contract had been publicly labeled in Zama's official documentation and on block explorers. Circle has not disclosed the reason for the freeze. This follows ZachXBT's March 2026 disclosure that Circle froze over 16 hot wallet addresses belonging to enterprises, protocols, and service providers without transparent explanation.
